There is NO CHARGE for any of our services! 

We are a year-round program.

Adult Basic And Literacy Education (ABLE)

  • Open to any adult in Clark County age 18 and up (ages 16 to 17 with official school release and work permit)
  • Student meets with personal tutor twice a week for 60-90 minutes
  • Computer assisted learning
  • M-Th: 8:30 to 7:30, Fri.: 8:30 to 3:00 (Special Arrangements Available)

Teaching Children to Read (TCR)

  • Open to school-age children reading below grade level.
  • Uses the Stevenson Method
  • Student meets with personal tutor twice a week for one hour each session.
  • M-Th: 8:30 to 7:30, Fri.: 8:30 to 3:00

G.E.D. Preparation

  • Basic skills tutoring in preparation for G.E.D. classes through Clark County Literacy Coalition members
  • Student meets with personal tutor twice a week for 60-90 minutes
  • Computer assisted learning
  • M-Th: 8:30 - 7:30 , Fri.: 8:30 - 3:00 (Special Arrangements Available)

PICK-A-Pack (Parents Increasing Children's Knowledge)

  • Available for children enrolled at the Warder Literacy Center
  • Backpacks filled with books and activities for their families
  • One-week check-out of backpack, once a month.
  • FREE OF CHARGE
  • Families keep the contents of the backpack for the child’s home library
  • Backpacks are returned to be refilled for another family to enjoy!

Adult Grab Bags

  • Available for adults enrolled at the Warder Literacy Center
  • Grab Bags are filled with books and activities for adult interests
  • One-week check-out of grab bag, once a month.
  • FREE OF CHARGE
  • Students keep the contents of the grab bag for their home library
  • Grab Bags are returned to be refilled for another student to enjoy!

Latin American's Learn English!English For Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

  • Two classes each week at Warder Literacy Center,         
  • 7:00 p.m.-8.30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday
  • FREE OF CHARGE
  • Students from all around the world take part!
