Clark County Literacy Online Privacy Policy

The following online privacy policy governs the personal information gathered on the Clark County Literacy Coalition’s (CCLC’s) Internet site (www.clarkcountyliteracy.org).  

Personal Information that is CCLC May Collect Online

The CCLC collects personal information online - names, postal addresses, and phone numbers - only when given on our online sponsorship form or online donation form.  The CCLC does not knowingly collect or maintain any other information from those accessing our web site.  The CCLC is not responsible for any information given to Paypal through a credit or check debit card for online donations.  The CCLC only receives the name, address and amount of the donation from Paypal.

The CCLC maintains all personal information of its tutors and students with strict confidentiality.

How CCLC Uses Personal Information Collected Online

The CCLC will only use the personal information for the purpose for which it is submitted, such as to be contacted for sponsorship or for an acknowledgment of a donation amount.  Unless otherwise indicated on the donation form submitted, donors’ names only, will be acknowledged in our quarterly newsletters and in our Annual Report.  Unless otherwise indicated on the sponsorship form, Sponsors will be acknowledged on the web site, in our quarterly newsletter, in our Annual Report, and on our Wall of Honor in the lobby of the Warder Literacy Center.  Donors and sponsors to the CCLC will have their name and postal address added to an in-house data-base for future solicitation of donations and/or sponsorship.

Our web site is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered by visitors.  Our site logs do generate non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our site.  This information is used for statistical information only and does not contain personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
